Description:

The County of Sonoma Human Services Department is recruiting for one full-time Department Accounting Manager position to oversee Financial Accounting Section of the Fiscal Operations Unit. Working with a staff of 35 and directly supervising 5 Accountants and 1 Supervising Accountant, the Department Accounting Manager is responsible for budgetary compliance, financial controls, and providing direction on program expenditures.

Qualifications:

Possession of a college degree in accounting, finance or business administration, with at least 21 semester units or 28 quarter units of Accounting, including advanced, governmental, cost accounting and auditing or possession of a Certified Public Accountant Certificate; plus four years of increasingly responsible professional level experience in governmental accounting, with at least one year at a supervisory level, would provide such opportunity.
