Salary: 

$103,134 – $140,782 annually, DOQ

Description:

Monterey County encompasses some of California’s most stunning scenery and offers an ideal year round Mediterranean climate.

The Deputy Director reports directly to the Bureau Chief and provides oversight and management for various services focused on all systems of care. This includes Adult Service Systems, Access to Care initiatives, and Substance Use Disorder programs throughout the Behavioral Health unit. The Deputy Director will be expected to provide leadership in the development and implementation of programs, operational and functional support. 

Qualifications:

The position requirements are consistent with Title 9 of the California Administrative Code. Typically the required background can be attained with five or more years of progressively responsible professional administrative experience, which includes analyzing and recommending solutions for the development of behavioral health programs policy and administration of behavioral health services which includes at least three years experience in the public sector at the supervisory and/or management level. An educational background equivalent to a Master’s degree in a related discipline is also required.
