Description:

Under general direction, to assist the Director of Public Works with planning, organizing, directing, and managing the County’s General Services Division and assist with the counties (CIP) Capitol Improvement Projects; to have day-to-day responsibility for the coordination and supervision of major division of the Public Works Department; to provide highly responsible and technical staff support for general services studies and functions; and to do related work as required. This is an assistant department classification for the position which has the responsibility for assisting with managing the CIP and directing the General Services Division of Public Works including flood control operations at the Lake Siskiyou Box Canyon Project, Airports; Stage Transportation and Siskiyou Power Authority.

Qualifications:

Five years of increasingly responsible work experience in public works or like field in infrastructure planning, design, and construction work, including at least two years in an administrative management or supervisory position.

Possession of current and valid registration as a professional engineer from the state of California or ability to obtain a professional engineer license within a year of date of employment.
