Description:

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a Deputy Director of its Administration division, which includes management of the department’s budget as well as business office operations and activities. The Sheriff is in search of a creative and experienced individual to provide administrative oversight for the department’s budget and the development and implementation of programs, policies, procedures, standards, goals and objectives of the Sheriff’s Department administrative services and activities. Reporting directly to the Sheriff, the incumbent will assume an active leadership role in policy development and the coordination and implementation of both on-going and special projects. They will have considerable latitude for the exercise of independent judgment and decision making. 

Qualifications:

Education and experience should be equivalent to graduation from a four year college or university with major coursework in business or public administration or a closely related field, and five years of professional level experience in public sector financial management and/or administration.
