Total compensation up to $274,691 annually (effective 1/9/16)

Description:

The County seeks a highly motivated, results oriented professional to direct, plan, and administer the services of the Department Child Support.  The Director of Child Support Services is responsible for the development and delivery of all departmental services including support administration and enforcement services, consultation, investigation, and legal support.

This position offers a highly competitive benefits package that includes a generous pension plan (vested after 5 years); 401k with County match of 2x employee contribution up to 8% of base salary; 457b deferred compensation plan with match; medical, dental & vision coverage with subsidy; FSA with match; up to 11 weeks paid time off; automobile and portable communication device allowance; long/short term disability and life insurance plans; and retirement reciprocity with other CA public sector pension plans. Base Salary: $172,266 annually (effective 1/9/2016).

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business or public administration, psychology, sociology, human services or closely related field. 

Extensive management experience in a large organization that includes in-depth knowledge of government programs at the federal, state, or local levels.  

Management experience in a Child Support Agency and an MPA/MBA are highly desirable.
