Up to $186,056 with excellent benefits including 1937 Retirement Act with CalPERS reciprocity.

Description:

As the organization’s key strategist on human capital, the Director of Human Resources reports directly to the County Administrator and focuses on diversity and inclusion, labor relations, employee growth and development, and organizational planning for resources. The Director oversees the Human Resources Department that provides advisory and consultative support to 22 County agencies and departments with a combined workforce of approximately 2,100 employees. Ideal candidates for this position must be exceptional leaders, capable of planning and directing the full-range of human resource services within a very sophisticated and fast-paced culture.

Qualifications:

This position requires the equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of professional human resources experience with at least 2 years of senior management experience in a unionized environment for a public agency. A Master’s degree is highly desirable.
