Description:

Under direction of the County Executive Officer and policy direction of the Board of Supervisors, the Director of OC Health Care Agency (HCA) has full responsibility for the administration of HCA and it’s five major programs: Administrative Services, Behavioral Health Services, Public Health Services, Regulatory/Medical Health Services, and Correctional Health Services. The Director of HCA provides the vision and solutions to protect and promote the health and safety of individuals and families in Orange County.

The ideal candidate will be an energetic, collaborative, and results oriented leader with exceptional communication skills and a proven track record of navigating change, identifying best practices and the ability to achieve results through others. The most qualified candidates will demonstrate their ability to lead highly talented professional and clinical staff and manage a complex, challenging and large county health care agency.

Qualifications:

Fifteen years of progressively responsible experience involving oversight and conducting complex and highly visible projects related to health programs with five years of experience serving in an executive level position in local governmental health care. A Bachelor’s degree in Public Health Administration, Business Administration, or a related field are required for this position. A master’s degree is preferred.
