Salary:

Criminal Investigator: $4508 – $5479/monthly and Senior Criminal Investigator: $4980 – $6054/monthly, plus an excellent benefits package, including a CalPERS 3% @ 55 Safety retirement formula. *These positions may be subject to a Furlough Program which will result in a reduction of the advertised salary.

Qualifications:

Criminal Investigator:  Two (2) years of comprehensive law enforcement investigative experience; and possession of a valid Basic P.O.S.T. certificate from the CA Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training.

Senior Criminal Investigator:  Three (3) years of comprehensive law enforcement investigative experience, including one (1) year in a District Attorney’s Office comparable to that of a DA Criminal Investigator with Madera County; and possession of a valid Intermediate P.O.S.T. certificate from the CA Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training.

Both Levels: Equivalent to the completion of the 12th grade supplemented by college level coursework and specialized training in law enforcement; and a valid Class “C” CDL.
