Description:

The San Joaquin County Community Development Department has a temporary opening for a Fire Services Coordinator. The employee in this position will function as the Fire Warden and is responsible for reviewing building plans, specifications and existing structures for compliance with national, state and county fire protection codes and standards.

Qualifications:

Pattern I: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in fire protection engineering or closely related field AND two years of responsible fire protection work including at least one year in fire safety inspection or plan review. Substitution: Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis Or Pattern II: Three years as a Building Inspector II with San Joaquin County And For Both Patterns: Possession of a valid California driver’s license.
