Description:

The County of Santa Barbara is seeking a Fiscal and Policy Analyst to work within the Budget and Research Division of the County Executive Office. The Fiscal and Policy Analyst reports directly to the Budget Director and is an at will position which may be filled at the Analyst II (journey) or Analyst III (advanced journey) level. Incumbents in the Fiscal & Policy Analyst series undertake increasingly difficult and complex assignments and projects for the County Executive Office. The Analyst II receives general supervision, department and project assignments of medium complexity, and may assist higher-level analysts with specialized studies. The Analyst III is responsible for the most difficult and complex assignments and projects and may act as a lead worker in an assigned area or on large scale projects.

Qualifications:

Possession of a bachelor’s degree in public or business administration or a related field; and one year of professional experience in fiscal, organizational or operational analysis related to governmental agencies; or, Possession of an associate’s degree in public or business administration or a related field and three years of experience that would demonstrate basic knowledge of fiscal management and budgeting; or,
