Description:

The County of Sonoma Department of Health Services is seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill one full-time Human Resources Officer – Health Services vacancy. This position is responsible for leading and supervising a team of staff engaged in performing HR functions for the department, and will represent the department on committees, working with the executive management team to solve personnel issues through consultation, research, analysis, and recommendations.
Dependent upon the qualifications of the successful candidate, the incumbent in this position will perform one of two roles: 1) managing and overseeing the department’s recruitment and classification efforts, payroll, staff development, performance management, and discipline; or 2) overseeing employee/labor relations, safety, disability management, performance management, and discipline.

Qualifications:

Requires coursework and two years of professional experience.
