Description:

The Inyo County Information Services Department manages three budget units, including a $1,763,000 General Operating Budget, a $134,800 Enterprise Property Tax System Implementation Budget, and a $266,245 Technology Refresh Budget. The department currently has 9 FTEs, including the Director, a vacant Deputy position, two Senior Programmer Analysts, a Senior Network & Operations Analyst, a Program Analyst, a Network & Operations Analyst, and a GIS Coordinator. Working under the general direction of the County Administrator, the Information Services Director is responsible for the development, installation, and maintenance of office systems for all county departments. The director develops and manages the county’s technology plan and staff, including the improvement of information systems and system administration, and serves as the primary advisor regarding telecommunications and automation systems, technology-related economic development, and business solutions/enhancements.

Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and three years in a similar position with substantial experience in technical operations management, analysis, and design, including proficiency in operating systems and network management, is required.
