Description:

The Management Analyst position requires a high degree of initiative, independent thinking and the ability to be proactive; to ensure that the County’s interests are protected, and exceptional support is provided to County Departments and the general public.

In addition to performing sophisticated policy and fiscal analysis in a variety of areas, Management Analysts act as the County Executive Officer’s liaison to assigned departments, with considerable independent responsibility for dealing with all relevant policy, fiscal and management issues.

The ideal candidate for this position will have experience with or education in the types of programs or issues facing county governments including performing administrative, analytical, budgetary, fiscal, accounting, policy or program work requiring analysis and interpretation of information. The ideal candidate will have a high degree of personal integrity and display honesty and approachability. The position requires an individual with exceptional interpersonal skills and strong analytical abilities. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, able to present ideas and concepts clearly, both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications:

Experience:
Four years of responsible experience performing budgetary and fiscal analysis and administrative, analytical, policy or program work requiring interpretation of information including at least two years at a management level comparable to a Management Analyst II.

Education:
A Bachelor’s degree.
