Salary:

$99,450-$109,640 Annually plus a 3.35% Management Differential

Description:

This Management Analyst will be assigned to provide staff and analytical support for a variety of criminal justice programs and efforts, including the Criminal Justice Cabinet and the Public Safety Coordinating Council (PSCC). This position’s duties include:

• Providing staff support to the Criminal Justice Cabinet (chaired by the Presiding Judge and comprised of key
players in the County’s justice system) and Public Safety Coordinating Council;

• Participating in the work of various inter-agency committees, like the Integrated Justice Information Systems
Technology Committee;

• Coordinating various special projects, including managing the work of consultants;

• Conducting criminal justice-related policy, program and organizational analyses, including use of sophisticated
analytical techniques; and

• Preparing and administering the budget for AB109 Realignment funds.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this Management Analyst position, will be a seasoned analyst, with significant experience dealing with criminal justice policies, programs, and issues and a solid understanding of evidenced-based practices in corrections. The ideal candidate will also have strong analytical, writing and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively as an “honest broker” with officials and staff at all levels of the criminal justice system, including leaders, like Judges, Sheriff, District Attorney and Chief Probation Officer. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in policy analysis, statistics, public administration or a related field. An advanced degree (masters or doctorate) is highly desirable.
