$98,982.00 – $126,334.00/year 

Description:

The Manager of Business Property Valuation and Audits is responsible for overseeing the activities of the Assessor-Recorder’s Business Personal Property division, which values and enrolls the value of equipment, fixtures and other business property for property taxation, performs audits of taxpayer filings and defends assessment appeals. The manager is responsible for developing and implementing goals, objectives, performance measures and production and quality targets for the auditor-appraisers in the division. The manager leads technology change efforts, including documentation of business needs to inform a major assessment system upgrade, planned document management and workflow process systems.

Qualifications:

1. Possession of a Baccalaureate Degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, Political Science, or closely related field; AND

2. Three (3) years verifiable public entity work experience with business property valuation and audits, real property appraisals, assessments, transfers, and/or taxation;

OR

3. Five (5) years verifiable work experience in accounting, auditing, data and system analysis, appraisals, or related field, two (2) years of which includes supervisory or management responsibilities
