Description:

Park Maintenance Superintendents prepare and administer park unit budgets; resolve complaints from the public; are responsible for public promotion of their assigned units; are responsible for administration of contracts, leases, and agreements as well as revenue generating programs; are responsible for the overall implementation and effectiveness of assigned maintenance and operation programs; and coordinate maintenance activities interdepartmentally, intradepartmentally, and with other governmental and public agencies and private agencies.

Qualifications:

Two years of full-time experience performing the duties of a Park Maintenance Supervisor, Golf Division Manager (formerly Golf Course Superintendent) or Park Ranger Supervisor (formerly Park Ranger II Limited Peace Officer or Park Ranger II) in Sacramento County service, or three years of full-time experience performing the duties of Senior Park Maintenance Worker in Sacramento County service.
Or
Three years of full-time paid experience which included responsibility for supervising the activities of a staff of subordinates in park maintenance and operation or natural resources management in a park or recreation resources agency.
