Salary:

$24.56-33.18/hr

Description:

Under general supervision, to perform professional planning assignments in the Planning Department of the County Land Use Agency; to perform technical reviews of land use and permit applications; to participate in planning studies, environmental reviews, community design, and general plan preparation; to assist with planning policy formulation and implementation; to explain ordinances, resolution, regulations and County policies to the public; and to do related work as required.

Qualifications:

Planner I – Equivalent to graduation from a four (4) year college or university with major work in planning, or a closely related field. (Experience equivalent to that of a Planning Technician with Amador County may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Planner II – A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in regional or city planning, environmental studies, geography, architecture, or closely related field; AND two (2) years of responsible experience in governmental or similar land use planning work equivalent to a Planner I with Amador County.
