$7,164 – $9,779 per month

Description:

The County of Monterey seeks a results-oriented individual who demonstrates excellent leadership and management skills to join the RMA Planning Division.
Under general direction, the Planning Services Manager plans, organizes, coordinates, and manages a team of professional Planners which includes professional, technical, and support staff; develops and monitors the section budget; oversees and plans programs, operations, and projects for the Planning section; and performs related work as required.

Qualifications:

Any combination of training, education and/or experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities and required conditions of employment is qualifying. An example of a way these requirements might be acquired is:
Education:
Completion of a Bachelors Degree in an area directly related to assignment, such as Planning, Geography Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a closely related field.

AND
Experience:
Three years of progressively responsible professional experience in area of assignment such as land use planning, engineering, environmental analysis or other area; including one (1) year in direct or lead supervision.
