Description:

The County of Nevada, California, located in the scenic Sierra foothills, seeks a Principal Civil Engineer to manage a major operating division of the Department of Public Works; plan, organize and direct the assigned functions of the Department for engineering and associated operations; supervise and perform difficult, professional engineering work; and perform related work as required.

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and ten years of progressively responsible experience in public works operations, engineering or surveying, at least five years of which is in a supervisory capacity. Also requires possession of a Certificate of Registration as a civil engineer as issued by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers.
