Description:

The Human Resources (HR) Department is currently recruiting for a Principal Employee and Labor Relations Specialist (Principal Human Resources Analyst) to support the Employee and Labor Relations Division. The position will act as a subject matter expert and advisor to HR Services Teams and County departments on employee discipline and investigations, collective bargaining, interpretation of memorandums of understanding (MOUs), and investigations of harassment, discrimination, and workplace violence. The position will also review and make decisions regarding grievances at the second step, per relevant bargaining unit MOUs.

Competitive candidate will have experience in collective bargaining and contract negotiation, as well as experience providing employee relations training, and advising departments and HR employees on best practices. Experience in a public sector/unionized environment is highly desired.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and four years of experience in employee and labor relations or related HR functions that would demonstrate the appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
