Description:

The City of Sacramento, Department of General Services, Recycling and Solid Waste Division, is seeking to fill a Program Analyst to provide comprehensive analytical support for the division’s safety and training programs, as well as supporting other functions within the division (e.g., new hire and refresher safety training). The ideal candidate will possess strong data systems experience, analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate to a diverse audience.

The position will work closely with the division’s safety officer and training supervisor and will be responsible for database-driven analyses within the division as it pertains to operational and performance metrics, including accident and injury data, training data, pre-trip and post-trip completions, and speed and gross vehicle weight information. This position will also assist with analysis and reporting on regulatory compliance and policy development as well as promoting overall safety awareness for the division.

Qualifications:

Two years of paid full time experience perforrning as a para-professional as it relates to report writing, research, analysis and/or technical support in the areas of administration, program management or systems operations.
And
A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in public or business administration, economics, accounting, personnel or a closely related field..
