The County of San Diego, Department of Public Works is currently accepting applications for the position of Project Manager, Public Works. The position will be responsible for coordinating, managing, and monitoring the progress of public works capital projects or private land development projects processed through the County.
The position will also have technical oversight and ensure proper application of standards, ordinances, and policies and will supervise engineering and technical staff. Project Managers also ensure that project schedules, costs, and overall quality performance objectives are met across a diverse range of public works projects.
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency in engineering, land surveying, business administration, public administration, or closely related field, AND, five (5) years of project management experience in public administration, business administration, engineering, or related experience in a public works, planning, or land development setting.
