Monterey County Health Department Salinas, CA 93906 Public Health Program Manager I Salary: $7,995.17 – $10,919.48 Monthly Final Filing Date: Monday, April 22, 2024 Exam 24/14C80/03PH The Health Department seeks to fill a new full-time Public Health Program Manager I (PMI) in its Policy, Evaluation and Planning (PEP) Unit. The PMI will oversee and supervise staff that lead development and implementation of several Health Equity and Access to Care projects. The PMI will manage the staffing, coaching, and health education and outreach efforts of a team of staff who will be responsible for day-to-day operations for numerous projects. Various projects will require fiscal oversight, including tracking of expenditures and development of revenue potential through Medi-Cal billing and technical assistance under the State’s CalAIM Initiative. Qualifications:

Desirable Qualifications: • Ability to speak, read and write English and Spanish. Examples of Experience/Education/Training Any combination of training, education and/or experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities and required conditions of employment is qualifying. An example of a way these requirements might be acquired is: Education: Bachelor’s degree with a major in health education and nutrition, public health, social work, public administration, or related field applicable to the program area. Experience: Two years of administrative or managerial experience in a health, social or community services organization, including significant responsibility for one or more of the following: program and budget development, funding utilization, coordination of community resources or program evaluation.
