Description:

The County of Fresno is seeking an experienced and innovative professional to run the County’s Risk Management functions and lead the County’s Risk Management team. The Risk Manager will report to the Director of Human Resources, manage the risk management program and plan, develop, implement, and evaluate risk management goals, programs, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree acceptable within United States’ accredited college/university system.

Four years of full-time, paid professional work experience equivalent to that gained as an Analyst in an organization equivalent to the County of Fresno, with at least one (1) year experience in a supervisory capacity over professional staff. Must be in one of the following areas:

General Liability/Medical Malpractice Program.

OR

Workers’ Compensation, Disability Management or Return to Work Program.

Public Sector experience, experience in a self-insured environment, and completion of an ARM or ARM-P course are highly desirable.

Valid Class “C” driver’s license, or equivalent.
