Description:

The Office of County Counsel is a full-service law office, tasked with handling the County’s employment law needs, including proactive participation in all phases of government decision making and a very active and successful trial litigation program. There is an immediate vacancy in the Office of County Counsel for an Employment Law Advisory attorney to provide advice and counseling to County Departments and to represent the County in Civil Service hearings. The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker and able to accurately articulate the critical issues in resolving client issues. Additionally, the candidate will have excellent legal research and writing skills, and the ability to work in a supportive and professional team environment with other attorneys and support staff.

SENIOR DEPUTY COUNTY COUNSEL-EMPLOYMENT LAW ADVISORY

Qualifications:

Qualified applicants must possess at least three (3) years of professional post-bar civil legal experience as an attorney and be a member in good standing with the California State Bar. Please provide your CA Bar number or attach a copy of your California Bar Card to your application. Experience serving as an attorney providing employment law advice and counseling to employers in a public or private sector law office is highly desirable.
