Description:

The Equal Employment Opportunity Division of the Human Resources Department is seeking an experienced Senior Workplace EEO Investigator / EEO Investigator to join our team! Will conduct effective, prompt & thorough investigations of complex, sensitive workplace EEO complaints of discrimination, harassment, retaliation and other policy violations; interview witnesses, including staff of all levels using appropriate tact and impartiality; prepare reports, letters and responses to internal and external complaints of discrimination and harassment; provide sound technical and practical advice and guidance to County managers, leaders and staff on EEO matters, employee concerns and workplace initiatives.

Qualifications:

The ideal EEO Investigator has a JD or Bachelor’s degree, knowledge of state and federal employment and labor laws, and at least three years of relevant work experience. Depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate, this position may provide lead support for the EEO Division and therefore would receive an additional 5.74% differential for performing lead work as a Senior EEO Investigator. The ideal Senior EEO Investigator has at least 5 years of relevant work experience, possesses subject-matter expertise, and has experience leading or supervising other staff.
