Salary: 

$30.49 – $37.22 Per Hour

Description:

Under direction, to plan, organize and supervise investigator staff; to direct and perform administrative assignments; to investigate difficult and complex criminal cases for the District Attorney’s Office; to obtain and process information and evidence required and prepare cases for prosecutors; to assist local law enforcement jurisdictions with criminal investigations; and to perform related duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by 15 college semester hours in police science, criminal justice or a related field.
Two years of field experience in criminal investigations at a level equivalent to Sheriff’s Detective in Tuolumne County. Supervisory experience desirable.
Must possess a California driver’s license and have a satisfactory driving record.
Must possess a Basic P.O.S.T. certificate; possession of an Intermediate P.O.S.T. certificate is desirable.
Must be able to maintain firearms qualification; must be able to meet physical, psychological and background standards.
Must be willing to work on a call-in basis including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays; must be willing to work irregular hours as required.
