Description:

The Riverside County Transportation and Land Management Agency (TLMA) has an exciting job opportunity for an Urban/Regional Planner I, II, III or IV in Riverside! The Urban/Regional Planner will oversee minor and/or major cases, this includes the intake, processing and researching of the cases pursuant to Riverside County Zoning Ordinance 348. The incumbent will prepare the cases to be presented to the Land Development Committee, communicate feedback, and process the corrections made by the applicants. Additionally, the Urban/Regional Planner will prepare and/or review the Environmental Impact Reports (EIR) to ensure they comply with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). The selected candidate must possess strong written and verbal communication skills as they may present to the Planning Commission. The Department desires candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and experience in case management and project management, as well as knowledge of CEQA and the Subdivision Map Act. The most competitive candidates will have public sector and/or consulting experience.
