Description:

Under general supervision, the Virtual Library Manager provides leadership for the Virtual Library which supports innovative and progressive services to the library community. Responsibilities include working collaboratively with partners inside and outside the library to plan, define and develop leading edge technology solutions. The Virtual Library Manager exercises general supervision over library staff assigned to deliver services electronically or through other means to virtual library customers.

Qualifications:

Education: Possession of a Master of Library Science degree from a program accredited by the American Library Association, or equivalent curriculum.

Experience: Three (3) years full-time or its equivalent professional library experience, two (2) of which include supervisory responsibilities; experience working with library systems and electronic resources in libraries and experience in web design and maintenance.

Substitution: Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and five (5) years full-time or its equivalent library experience, two (2) of which include supervisory responsibilities; experience working with library systems and electronic resources in libraries and experience in web design and maintenance.
