Description:

The Marin County Administrator’s Office currently has a full-time opportunity for a Workers’ Compensation Analyst in the Risk Management Division of the County Administrator’s Office. The incumbent will oversee the County’s Self-Insured Workers’ Compensation Program administered by a Third Party Administrator (TPA); direct the County’s return-to-work program; mitigate claims-based issues; serve as a liaison between the TPA and staff; perform related analytical, statistical and cost analysis studies; and assist in countywide training of Workers’ Compensation and the Transitional Work Program.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated knowledge of California laws and regulations relative to workers’ compensation; senior-level workers’ compensation claims administration experience; self-direction with excellent judgment, negotiation, decision making and written/verbal communication skills; and the ability to work with a wide variety of personalities and stakeholders in order to deliver trainings, resolve disputes and write concise and effective correspondence, training materials, procedural documents and reports.
