Making Long-Term Impacts to Recidivism – A Case
Study
Napa County has put three correctional programs in place to
target criminal thinking and prepare inmates for re-entry back
into the community. The County’s programs are unique in that they
begin behind the walls of the jail and continue in the Community
Corrections Service Center, a community-based day reporting
program. Together, these programs provide the County with
effective tools to manage changing offender populations and make
long-term impacts to recidivism.
Speakers:
• Mary Butler, Chief Probation Officer, Napa County
• Kathy Prizmich, Business Development Coordinator, Community
Based Services, BI Incorporated

counties. With the new OnSite Employee Health Clinic Program, the
potential for savings is significant in general health, increased
productivity and workers compensation. A case study from
Deschutes County, Oregon, will be presented.

Retiree Health Exchange
