DHCS Releases H.R. 1 Implementation Plan, Webinar on February 5

Today, the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) released their Implementation Plan for New Federal Eligibility Enrollment Changes Under H.R. 1. The Implementation Plan outlines the state’s approach to implementing the new federal requirements under H.R. 1 as it relates to Medi-Cal eligibility, administration, and financing. In addition to summarizing the various provisions and impacts to Medi-Cal under H.R. 1, the plan includes DHCS’s Guiding Principles, an overview of anticipated stakeholder engagement activities, and strategies related to communication and outreach.  

DHCS will host a webinar on Thursday, February 5 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to provide an overview of the Implementation Plan. The webinar will include discussions on the guiding principles, key timelines, phases of implementation, anticipated cadence of policy guidance, and opportunities for engagement and feedback. Advance registration is required.
