Training Program Coordinator
Description:
The CSAC Foundation is seeking a Training Program Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of statewide professional development programs through the CSAC Institute. This role plays a key part in ensuring high-quality learning experiences for county leaders and staff across California.
The Training Program Coordinator works closely with the Institute team and Foundation leadership to support program operations, logistics, communications, and participant engagement. This is an ideal opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys managing multiple priorities, collaborating across teams, and contributing to public service leadership development.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
The Training Program Coordinator supports the CSAC Institute through a combination of program coordination, communications, and operational support, including:
- Program & Event Coordination
- Support the planning and execution of in-person, virtual, and hybrid training programs held throughout the year
- Coordinate logistics for Institute programs, including Sacramento-based and satellite campus offerings
- Provide on-site and virtual support during training sessions and Institute events
- Communications & Outreach
- Assist with Institute communications, including newsletters, website updates, social media content, and promotional materials
- Support outreach efforts to increase awareness and participation in Institute programs
- Help prepare written materials such as announcements, blog posts, and program summaries
- Administrative & Operational Support
- Maintain program records, registration data, evaluations, and course documentation
- Assist with budget tracking, invoicing, and coordination with faculty and vendors
- Support post-program evaluations and summary reporting
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Support
- Respond to inquiries from CSAC members and external partners
- Work collaboratively with Foundation staff, faculty, and county representatives
- Support special projects and additional Institute initiatives as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting events, training programs, or professional learning initiatives
- Familiarity with communications tools such as email platforms, social media, or basic website updates
- Experience with design, document preparation, or digital content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Acrobat)

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience supporting education, training, or professional development programs
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Work Environment & Additional Information
This position is based at the CSAC office in Sacramento and is primarily onsite during standard business hours (Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.). Limited telework may be available with prior approval. The position is supervised by a remote manager.
Salary:
Position salary range is $60,000 to $90,00 annually, plus excellent benefits package, pension with CalPERS reciprocity, and generous vacation and holiday schedule. This is an exempt position.
