On Thursday, June 4 from 1:00 to 2:30 pm, the Behavioral Health Transformation (BHT) Performance Accelerator Knowledge Center will host a webinar, “Facilitating Governance and Accountability for Boards of Supervisors.” This webinar is intended to help County Boards of Supervisors and their staff understand their BHSA responsibilities during implementation. During the webinar, attendees will learn tips on how to review BHSA Integrated Plan Annual Updates and reporting, as well as understand how county leaders can drive system improvement. Register here.

In addition to the upcoming webinar, the Knowledge Center has posted a series of resources for Boards of Supervisors and Behavioral Health Boards better understand their responsibilities within BHSA. Those resources can be found under the tab “Module Four: Facilitating Governance and Accountability” on the Knowledge Center webpage.

The California BHT County Performance Accelerator Initiative is administered by the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and is managed by a team of three organizations that work in behavioral health policy, performance management, and performance-based contracting: Social Finance, Healthy Brains Global Initiative (HBGI), and the Steinberg Institute. As part of this initiative, the Performance Accelerator Knowledge Center was created to help counties meet BHSA requirements.
