California County Café July Gathering

The California Department of Water Resources (DWR), in partnership with California State Association of Counties (CSAC), is convening a series of virtual roundtable-style gatherings for the planning and implementation of SB 552 (Hertzberg, Statutes of 2021).  

California County Café gatherings are open to county staff and managers responsible for SB 552 implementation, especially the development of their corresponding County Drought Resilience Plan. Elected officials, regulatory agencies, and interested parties are welcome to tune in. 

This month’s gathering will include a hydro-climate conditions update, policy updates from CSAC, along with brief updates on funding and resources, and relevant state and partner efforts. This updated format for the series is intended to help counties receive timely information from DWR, CSAC, and partners, while also creating space for counties to share updates, questions, and lessons with one another. DWR and CSAC will also invite participant feedback on the format to help shape future gatherings.
