Assistant County Counsel
The Assistant County Counsel is a key member of the County’s legal leadership team, providing legal counsel and strategic guidance to the Board of Supervisors, County departments, and other political subdivisions within the County. The Assistant County Counsel supports the administration of the Office, oversees attorneys and professional staff, represents the County in litigation and business matters, and assumes significant responsibility for legal operations and decision-making. The position plays an important role in advancing County priorities, managing legal risk, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, and protecting the County’s interests and resources.

The minimum qualifications for this position include:
Six (6) years of progressively responsible experience as an attorney in civil or governmental law of which at least one (1) year of experience was in a supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Certificates and Licenses
Current active membership in the State Bar of California required.
