Director of Health and Human Services
Mono County is seeking an experienced public-sector leader to serve as Director of Health and Human Services. This executive-level position provides strategic leadership and oversight for the County’s health, social service, and community programs.
The Director is responsible for establishing departmental goals and policies, overseeing personnel and complex budgets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and evaluating and improving service delivery. The position works closely with the Board of Supervisors, County leadership, state and federal agencies, community partners, and the public to address the evolving needs of the community.
The ideal candidate is an experienced health and human services leader with strong knowledge of public-sector programs, fiscal administration, regulatory requirements, personnel management, and community service delivery. Experience leading teams, managing complex programs and budgets, and working in a rural or similarly diverse community is highly valued.
