Placer County is currently accepting applications for Senior Staff Services Analyst to fill one vacancy in the Children’s System of Care (CSOC) division of the Department of Health and Human Services.

The Children’s System of Care (CSOC) division of the Department of Health and Human Services is currently seeking a Senior Staff Services Analyst. This position is located in Auburn and will be responsible for overseeing the activities of Staff Services Analysts within CSOC, integrating data from multiple sources (e.g. SmartCare, CARES, SafeMeasures, CFSR, CSE-IT, MCT, BHSA, SDM) to aid in strategy development, supervision support, and outcomes measurement, and planning and guiding short-term and mid-term CSOC projects.

Duties are anticipated to include, but not be limited to, the following: plan, lead, and train Staff Services Analysts within CSOC, including prioritizing workloads, managing ad hoc requests, and facilitating communication; organize and train on quantitative and qualitative statistical data analyses; write reports for state and federal responses; research pending or upcoming legislative impacts or changes in the child welfare, probation, and behavioral health sectors; provide contract support to the management team as needed; conduct and report out on child welfare, probation, and behavioral health service trend analyses; research and assist in preparing grant applications and annual reports for all state and federal entities; perform project management functions for a wide variety of initiatives; develop and maintain cost analyses and program evaluations with providers; prepare complex analytical and statistical reports for grant oversight committees; conduct difficult and complex productivity and efficiency studies; provide performance audits on organization systems and procedures; and prepare recommendations with appropriate staff.

The ideal candidate will have experience using Power BI, Tableau, SAS, Canva, and Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Some supervisory experience is preferred.

The eligible list established as a result of this recruitment will be used to fill vacancies as they arise on a countywide basis, subject to position-specific requirements.

Qualifications

Any combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be:

Experience: Three years of increasingly responsible work experience conducting detailed analysis requiring the preparation and submission of findings with recommendations, including one year at the Journey level.

Training: Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in public or business administration, government, political or social science or a related field.

NOTE: Relevant, equivalent experience (performing the same or similar job requiring similar knowledge, skills and abilities) may be substituted for the required education as determined by the Human Resources Department.

NOTE: Applicants receiving their degree outside the United States must submit proof of accreditation by a recognized evaluation agency.

Required License or Certificate:
May need to possess a valid driver’s license as required by the position.  Proof of adequate vehicle insurance and medical clearance may also be required.
