Senior Payroll Technician
The County of Yolo Human Resources Department is recruiting to fill one (1) regular, full-time position in the class of Senior Payroll Technician. The annual salary range is $68,993.60 – $83,844.80.
The Senior Payroll Technician will perform a wide variety of advanced level payroll activities involving the processing, analysis and implementation of payroll regulations and laws while exercising independent judgment in resolving problems within established department guidelines. Possession of a high school diploma, G.E.D. equivalency or high school proficiency certificate AND Five (5) years of full-time (or the equivalent of full-time) experience in the preparation, processing, and maintenance of accounting documents and records, at least two (2) years of which included processing payroll documents comparable to the Yolo County class of Payroll Technician.
- Substitution: Completion of college coursework may substitute for up to two years of the non-payroll experience, on the basis that thirty (30) semester or forty-five (45) quarter units is equivalent to one year of experience.
License Positions in this classification may require incumbents to possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license, Class C or higher, to carry out job related duties. Individuals who do not meet this requirement due to a physical or mental disability may request a reasonable accommodation.
