About the Position

The Departmental Personnel Analyst is a journey level personnel specialist. The focus of this position with San Joaquin General Hospital’s Human Resources Department will be on workplace investigations and departmental training. This may include both disciplinary and EEO related investigations primarily with represented employees. Additionally, the DPA will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating a range of employee training programs.

The ideal DPA candidate will possess experience with conducting investigations in a unionized environment and producing high quality reports. Additionally, a background in employee development and training facilitation is highly desired.

Qualifications

The following special requirements were approved by the Director of Human Resources on March 9, 2026.

Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with major coursework in public or business administration, personnel management or a closely related field.

Experience: Two (2) years of professional personnel or personnel-related administrative/analytical work which involved substantial responsibility for conducting workplace investigations involving represented employees. Experience facilitating employee training is highly desired.

Substitution: Additional qualifying personnel experience may substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of two (2) years.
