Human Resources Manager
The Yolo County Human Resources Department is looking for a motivated and experienced human resources professionals and leaders to fill an at-will, full-time Human Resources Manager position. The incumbent will oversee recruitment, classification, labor relations, benefits, and compliance with Merit System Rules, CalPERS requirements, and employment laws. Education: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public or Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Industrial Psychology, or related field; AND
Experience: Five (5) years of full-time experience in a public sector human resources office or other department performing professional level analytical work in areas such as payroll, recruitment, classification and compensation, employee and labor relations, benefits administration, organizational development, fiscal and administrative functions related to personnel management and/or staff development. At least two (2) of the five (5) years must be at the supervisory or management level.
Substitution Note: A Master’s degree in Public or Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Industrial Psychology, or related field may substitute for one (1) year of the non-supervisory experience.
