Description

Are you passionate about the outdoors and ready to make a difference in your community? Placer County is hiring a Trails and Open Space Crew Supervisor to help manage and maintain over 4,000 acres of open space, 65 miles of trails, and 29 parks, including beautiful lakefront areas in Tahoe.

In this key role, you’ll oversee daily operations and long-term planning for our Trails and Open Space program. Responsibilities include supervising staff and contractors, managing routine and preventative maintenance, and supporting projects, budgeting, and community engagement.

Qualifications

Experience: Two (2) years of experience performing duties similar to a Senior Parks Worker with Placer County.

Training: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by college course work in arboriculture, horticulture, forestry, park management, or a related field.

 

Required License or Certificate:

  • May need to possess a valid driver’s license as required by the position.  Proof of adequate vehicle insurance and medical clearance may also be required.
  • Possession of a Qualified Applicator Certificate from California Department of Food and Agriculture is desired.
