Description

The County of Yolo is recruiting to fill one (1) regular, full-time position in the class of Personnel Specialist II (Confidential) within the Human Resources Department.  Reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager, this Personnel Specialist II position is the first point of contact at the front desk, receiving and assisting customers who come into the office.  Additionally, the position supports with payroll, personnel actions, benefits, workers’ compensation, risk management, and HRIS activities and updates. 

The ideal candidate:

  • Is skilled in computer applications with a quick ability to adapt and learn a new system and processes.
  • Is a positive, customer focused, self-directed individual who enjoys working in reception or front-desk setting. 
  • Is comfortable in a fast-paced, detail-oriented position serving the public and County of Yolo employees and departments.
  • has experience managing confidential and/or personnel records, preferably within a government or unionized environment.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Three (3) years of responsible clerical experience in support of various human resources functions such as personnel actions, payroll, benefits, safety/risk management, training, or other similar human resources function.

License
