Salary:  $10,254 – 13,707 / Month**
** September 2026 – 4% increase to base pay

THE JOB: Under general direction, plan, organize, coordinate and implement the Santa Cruz County Workforce Development Board’s workforce and economic development strategies, programs, projects and related activities in cooperation with public agencies, educational institutions, businesses, community groups and contracted service providers; lead the coordination and integration of business engagement and career services across the local workforce development system, including the design, development and continuous improvement of programs, initiatives and partnerships; develop, prepare and review grant funding applications and proposals; analyze and evaluate County sponsored workforce development programs including contract administration and performance monitoring; provide fiscal and policy coordination for assigned workforce initiatives and related activities; develop and coordinate outreach, promotional and informational materials and activities; and supervise or direct assigned staff and contract service providers.

THE REQUIREMENTS: Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college in business or public administration, finance, economics, community development or a related field
AND
Three years professional experience in economic/business development program administration, community development or a related area.
