Advanced Clean Fleets: Information on Electric Grid Upgrades to Support ZEV Infrastructure 

The California Air Resources Board is hosting a virtual meeting of the Drive Forward Truck Forum meeting on Monday, December 8, 2025, from 1:00–3:00 p.m. PST. This session will focus on approaches public utilities are taking on proactive grid upgrades to support future charging infrastructure for fleets, a critical step county fleets would need in their efforts to comply with the Advanced Clean Fleets regulation. 

Representatives from Pacific Gas & Electric, Southern California Edison, and San Diego Gas & Electric will discuss: 

• How utilities assess pending electrical loads to identify grid upgrade needs before service requests. 
• The data required to secure funding for proactive upgrades. 
• Ways state and local government fleets can help inform these decisions.
