California Association of County Veterans Service Officers 2025 Annual Report
Back to News
Earlier this year, the California Association of County Veterans Service Officers (CACVSO) released their 2025 annual report, highlighting statewide accomplishments and advocacy to support County Veterans Service Officers (CVSOs) and California’s veteran population across all 58 counties.
The Annual Report shows that in Fiscal Year 2024-25, CVSOs filed a total of 316,052 benefits claims, helped secure $687.2 million in new and increased benefits, and facilitated $25.57 billion in federal Department of Veterans Affairs payments. These outcomes illustrate the statewide impact of CVSOs in connecting veterans with benefits and services and advocating for veterans statewide.
CVSOs play a critical role in providing trusted, no-cost assistance to veterans navigating complex federal and state benefits systems. As trained professionals, they bring expertise in counseling and claims preparation to connect veterans with the benefits that best meet their individual needs.
Overall, the report serves as a comprehensive resource spotlighting community and statewide services available to veterans, CACVSO’s outreach efforts and legislative engagement, annual financial impacts, and calls to action in support of CVSOs.
