On Friday, July 25, the Governor’s Office of External Affairs, in coordination with the California Department of Health and Human Services (CalHHS), will host a virtual training from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM via Zoom for a CARE Court Training Webinar.
This virtual training is designed to provide local governments, service providers, and first responders with the necessary tools to submit CARE Court petitions on behalf of your community’s most vulnerable residents who may be eligible for treatment, housing, and supportive services through a new civil court process.
Attendees will also be provided with an important update on recent changes to the CARE Court forms that are meant to simplify the submission process. A panel of first responders who have successfully submitted CARE petitions to help residents get access to supportive services will be present and available to answer questions.
Participants are encouraged to submit questions ahead of time for the speakers using the registration form.
