As the CSAC Annual Meeting approaches, we’re excited to highlight our featured session: Characteristics of Effective Boards!

Join us for an engaging and interactive workshop designed for county leaders.

Thursday, December 4, 2025, 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM

This session will dive into what makes county boards effective in governance, alignment, and collaboration. The workshop will be facilitated by Paul Danczyk, COO of the CSAC Foundation, and will begin with a panel discussion featuring:

  • Supervisor Monica Rossman (Glenn County)
  • Supervisor Daron McDaniel (Merced County)
  • Supervisor Chuck Washington (Riverside County)
  • Jeff Van Wagenen, CEO (Riverside County)
  • Lynna Monell, Clerk of the Board of Supervisors (San Bernardino County)

Together, they will explore real-world perspectives on board dynamics, communication practices, and strategies that strengthen county leadership.

Following the panel, attendees will join small breakout conversations – an opportunity for candid dialogue, shared experiences, and practical takeaways to support board effectiveness across counties.

Stop by the Foundation booth located in Grand Ballroom B/C to meet the team and learn more about upcoming programs and resources.
