HCD Accepting Public Comment on Proposed CDBG-DR Action Plan

The State of California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) will host statewide public webinars on the proposed Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Action Plan, covering the 2023 and 2024 disasters.

As a result of the January 2023 and 2024 winter storms (DR-4699, 4758 and 4707), the State of California received $416,597,000 of CDBG-DR funds to address disaster impacts and mitigate future disasters. The CDBG-DR funding must be spent within areas impacted by the 2023 and 2024 disasters:

  • DR 4699: Monterey, Santa Cruz, San Benito, Tulare, Tuolumne Counties
  • DR 4758: San Diego County
  • DR 4707: Hoopa Valley Tribe

HCD will discuss the proposed CDBG-DR housing and mitigation programs, and the budget and funding timeline in the following public meeting webinars:
