Treasurer’s Office Webinar Series: Resources for Local Leaders
Back to News
Next Wednesday, March 11th, at 1:00 PM, the California State Treasurer’s Office will host another installment of its quarterly Inside the Vault: Resources for Local Leaders webinar series. Since its initial launch, the Treasurer’s Office has used this series to provide local governments with updates and information on programs and resources available for their communities. During next week’s session, the Treasurer’s Office will provide information about the CalABLE Program and the California Earthquake Authority. More information about the topics covered during the webinar is included below.
CalABLE Program
The California Achieving a Better Life Experience (CalABLE) program is a tax-advantaged savings and investment program that allows people with disabilities to save money without compromising their eligibility for public benefits. The webinar will include an update on expanded eligibility for individuals with disabilities.
California Earthquake Authority
The California Earthquake Authority (CEA) is a publicly managed, privately funded, not-for-profit entity that provides residential earthquake insurance to Californians. CEA was established as a response to the Northridge earthquake to revitalize the insurance and housing markets. This webinar will focus on earthquake resilience for California communities.
